Joseph Denne
Futurologist. Founder of Edge and XE. Double Emmy winner. Relentless optimist.
I work on the future of human and machine interaction: networks where machines hold their own accounts and pay their own way, and the people who direct them stay in charge. Nearly thirty years of hands-on work with most of the brands you'd recognise. I build from a small robotics lab, a long way from anywhere.
Now
- Edge Network — a decentralised cloud for people and the agents working for them. Shield scores visitors instead of testing them. Assist answers from a site's own content. CDN, compute, storage, DNS. Zero egress.
- XE — the agent-native network. Identity, discovery, payment, compute, messaging. Every machine has its own account and its own chain. No queue, no human in the loop.
- XE DAO — the first L1 governed by an agentic DAO. Proposed in the open. Analysed by agents. Signed by keys.
- XE Bounty — read in private, answered in public. Every ticket is markdown; every change is in a signed log.
- Fi1m — an AI-first film and TV publication. Written by machines, edited by people.

Writing
- Engineering principles for an agentic future
- Machines don't need permission. They need accounts
- Automation is a signal, not a threat
- What stays human
- Written by a machine, edited by a person
